The outreach and communications team will use social media and written material to educate the general public about InSite and its mission. We also care about forming personal relationships with our audience: the team offers educational events both on and off campus, and is always eager to engage in conversation with those who live beyond the bounds of Middlebury and share our interest in sustainable living. We have learned so much about sustainable design and living from InSite and the Middlebury Solar Decathlon team. We want to share our educational experience with people of all ages. Our team has begun to form long-term relationships with schools in and around Middlebury. Our curriculum is interactive; we offer presentations and workshops about InSite and its mission, and we lead student groups on tours of our winning 2011 home, Self-Reliance.
